Exercise 2 - Juxtaposition

Winnie the Pooh with hunny jar.

Bee on nose.

Plucking pretty flowers.

Enjoying best friend's company and having fun together.

The fictional character that I have chose is Winnie the Pooh bear. He is an adorable small yellow-orange bear. Stands at nearly 22inches tall and wears an old red colour small t-shirt. The reason I'm wearing a red t-shirt with a heart shape on it is because Pooh Bear is a very loveable character.

I can relate to Pooh Bear the most because we both have very good friends. We enjoy our best friends company and have fun together. Like Pooh Bear, I would like to help my friends however and whenever. He likes doing exercise in the morning, as do I. Pooh's favourite food is Hunny. I am a sweet tooth and one of my favourites on my list includes honey.

Also, I think Winnie the Pooh is Chinese because it's yellow in colour and has tiny eyes. Winnie the Pooh likes singing songs that he makes up on his own and later forgets them. When I was 5-6 years old in kindergarten, I use to sing out loud whatever words that came to mind and wouldn't remember anything of it later.

Exercise 1 - Communication

Assessment Description :
Using only one letter an 3 colours, describe a friend of yours.

Requirements :
Produce a work that communicates your idea. Describe how the letter and 3 colours represent your friend.

Rationale :

For this exercise my partner’s name is Mohira Mullyadjanova, hence the letter M representing her initials. I have drawn the M at a larger scale because both her name and surname starts with M. The font that I have chosen is Cooper Std Black because of its shape. The blunt and rounded form of the alphabet ‘M’ gives it a warm and friendly face. This was my first impressions of Mohira. Inside the letter M, I have drawn her country’s flag as this is where she comes from which is Uzbekistan. The chequered background represents her clothing. Most of her clothing has the colours red and blue on them.
